This year s Suffolk County Council elections were good for the Conservatives, spectacular for the Green Party, gave a breathing space to the Liberal Democrats, and were very difficult for Labour.
The Conservatives retained their overall majority that they went into the election with - and should be able to run the council as a stable administration over the next four years.
However there were some significant changes and group leader Matthew Hicks will have to make some big decisions on the shape of his top team.

A Stowmarket theatre which has been closed for over a year will be making a spectacular return at the end of the month, following a multi-million pound project to add two auditoriums and a bar.
The Regal Theatre shut down in February last year with a view to beginning a huge revamp funded by Stowmarket Town Council and Mid Suffolk District Council however when the Covid pandemic hit the team had to adjust to long delays.
The grand reopening is finally scheduled to take place on May 28, with upgraded facilities and space.

A gift of 2,021 snowdrop bulbs has been made to a Suffolk community.
Judith and Steve Thompson have given the bulbs to those living in the Rattlesden River Valley.
Snowdrops have a deep symbolic meaning of remembrance, hope and the ability to overcome challenges in life. They are often seen as a cheerful sight in early spring.
Those receiving snowdrops include Red Gables, Stowmarket Tennis Club for its rewilding project, Cedrus House Care Home, Chilton Meadows Care Home, Woodfield Court and Chilton Court, Hillcroft House Care Home, Ceracare (which supports people living in their own homes), Dementia Together and the Leading Lives Community Hub, which supports people with learning disabilities.
