A DECISION to reject plans to build a Neolithic-style tomb near Llanidloes which could store hundreds of cremation urns has been appealed.
A planning application submitted by Dr Kevin Blockley, of Cambrian Archaeological Projects, was refused by Powys County Council in December on the grounds that it failed to demonstrate a safe means of access.
The tomb structure would have had space for up to 500 pottery urns holding cremated human remains at The Neolithic Barn in Pantmawr.
Dr Blockley is appealing to the Planning Inspectorate for Wales, over the plans to build the “first project of its kind in Wales”. ....
