CCU was led by a first-place finish in the women’s 3000-meter run by freshman Sydney Swanker and a win by freshman Jermaisha Arnold in the 400-meter run. Melissa Jefferson recorded two second-place finishes in the women’s 60-meter and 200-meter dash while the Chants also picked up a pair of third-place finishes by Arnold in the 200-meter dash and freshman Isabelle Gulick in the 3000-meter run. ....
January 15, 2021 - by Kelsey Wicinski Noles Begin Season at Gamecock Opener TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State track and field team starts its 2021 indoor season this Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Gamecock Opener hosted by the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C. Saturday’s meet marks the first time FSU has competed since Feb. 2020. “We’re really excited to be competing again.” said Florida State head coach Bob Braman. “It’s been 321 long days since our last competition. This is a very good opening meet for us. South Carolina has a great facility and we’re hoping for some good performances.” ....
