Cape closed: Traditional Owners lock up the Tip, after tourists defecate on sacred sites

The tip of Cape York has been shut off to visitors, and Local Elders have called for toilet upgrades in the area, after reports of tourists defecating, littering and leaving graffiti on sacred sites.
Michael Solomon, chairman of the Gudang/Yadhaykenu Aboriginal Corporation, says it s insulting that locals and volunteers have to clean up the mess left by tourists visiting Country.
