That’s what greeted Nathan Nickerson, owner of Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar since he took part in the pro-Trump march to the U.S. Capitol last week and then talked “nonchalantly” to Boston radio personality Howie Carr about the experience. As he returned to his Washington, D.C., hotel on Jan. 6, Nickerson told Carr: I was actually enjoying it all. It was kind of fun.

The MBTAâs oversight board violated the Massachusetts open meeting law when, at the height of the George Floyd protests, its members directed agency officials to stop transporting local police forces to protests in T buses, the attorney generalâs office has determined.
In early June, when street protests challenging police use of force were gripping the nation, the MBTA came under fire from advocates for working with Boston Police to bus dozens of officers to demonstrations. The oversight board issued a directive cutting off the long-standing practice, even though board members did not hold a public meeting to vote on the decision. ....
