The Nebraska Cover Crop and Soil Health Conference will provide information to growers who are just getting started with cover crops and to those who are already making cover crops part of their operation.
The conference will take place on Thursday, Feb. 11 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. CST with in-person check in at 12:30 p.m.
The conference will be webcast from the University of Nebraska Eastern Nebraska Research and Extension Center (ENREC) near Mead to other locations. In-person attendance is not available at ENREC due to COVID-19 restrictions.

At their recent convention, Nebraska Cattlemen Association members hammered out their policy for 2021 and elected a new President to lead the organization. Arlington area rancher Bill Rhea takes over the leadership position from past President Ken Herz. Rhea says two of the major issues they want to make headway on are getting a reduction in property taxes and modernizing the state brand rule.
He says at the national level, they’re continuing to work to find more fair and equitable markets for cattle producers.
Rhea says his Association has members on NCBA’s working task force looking at markets.
