At their recent convention, Nebraska Cattlemen Association members hammered out their policy for 2021 and elected a new President to lead the organization. Arlington area rancher Bill Rhea takes over the leadership position from past President Ken Herz. Rhea says two of the major issues they want to make headway on are getting a reduction in property taxes and modernizing the state brand rule.
He says at the national level, they’re continuing to work to find more fair and equitable markets for cattle producers.
Rhea says his Association has members on NCBA’s working task force looking at markets.
