The Vancouver Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre is planning on increasing its presence in Prince George as part of a province-wide initiative to recruit more people into the military. Major Ken Orr, the officer in charge of recruiting in B.C., was in Prince George Tuesday asking community leaders and educators to assist in promoting the Armed Forces as a career option. “Last year nine people from Prince George enrolled as full-time service members,” Orr said. “We would like to increase that 100 per cent.” Orr said he hoped to “reach out to the community” to raise the profile of the Armed Forces in interior B.C. ....
