Sugar Fed: Dandegaonkar replaces Patil as latter joins Uddhav govt

National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories Federation has elected a new Chairman Jaiprakash R Dandegaonkar in the wake of Dilip Walse Patil joining the Uddhav cabinet. On the occasion, a by-election to the two vacant seats from Tamil Nadu in the board of NFCSF was also held.
Thiru A.S.A. Raajasekhar, President, Tamil Nadu Cooperative Sugar Federation, Chennai and Thiru K.P.S. Sureshkumar, President, the Salem Cooperative Sugar Mills, Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu were elected unopposed.
NCUI’s education arm NCCE head Dr V K Dubey was the returning officer to oversee the election process.
On his election as President, Dandegaonkar said, “I am thankful to the Directors of the federation for giving me such a big responsibility to lead the federation. I assure all Directors and members of the federation to provide an effective voice to the Indian cooperative sugar sector”. ....
