Maidstone United FC » Have you herd? Elmer's coming to town

Maidstone United are delighted to be working with Heart of Kent Hospice during their 30th anniversary year.
The popular charity are marking the occasion with a stunning public art event this summer, which will see a herd of elephants arrive in Kent’s county town!
Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade will bring David McKee’s popular children’s character to life. From Saturday 19 June to Sunday 22 August, a herd of fabulously colourful and unique elephants will take you on a trial around Maidstone. We’re hoping that there might even be a football themed Elmer!

The 2020 event brought in over $79,000. This year’s goal was to raise at least $50,000.
“The support for this year’s Hike for Hospice is stunning! We were happy to be back out at Mud Creek Trail– even though everyone participated on their own time, it felt much more like our traditional Hike for Hospice,” says event chair Randi Bokor Caron. “We received so many kind messages about the touching memorial signs along the trail. They certainly served as a reminder of why we host this event and the spirit of Hospice.” ....
