A FATHER-OF-one who attacked an intoxicated man in an alley has been jailed for three-and-a-half years.
Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard that Nathan Harold (26) stole from the victim who had been turned away from a nightclub, punched him a number of times and stamped on him as he was leaving.
Harold of no fixed abode but previously Rathoath Avenue, Finglas pleaded guilty to robbery at Camden Place, Dublin city centre, on 22 November 2019. His 55 previous convictions include convictions for theft, possession of drugs and public order offences.
A father-of-two who threw two knives at a garda who intervened as he held a knife to his partner s neck has been jailed for 18 months.
David Dwyer (37) was “highly intoxicated” when he threatened to stab two gardaí who had to force entry into a house in order to apprehend him.
Dwyer, of Primrose Grove, Darndale, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to production of an article in the course of a dispute at Edenmore Avenue, Raheny, on February 22, 2018.
His previous convictions include arson, robbery, assault and possession of knives.
Garda Martin Cullen told Kate Egan BL, prosecuting, that on the date in question, he received a call regarding a domestic incident and attended the scene with another garda.

A former care worker who went on the run after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting his 10-year-old neighbour has been jailed for three years.
The Central Criminal Court heard that on St Patricks Day 2000 the victim came to the man s house, who was her next-door neighbour, looking to borrow Sellotape to wrap some gifts.
The victim told gardaí that the defendant, who was 30-years-old at the time, went upstairs to look for Sellotape whilst she was playing with his baby on the couch in the sitting room. When he came downstairs, he told her that he did not have Sellotape and pushed her off the couch.
