Bihar: Sainik School cadet saves girl, sustains burn injuries

Supported by the authorities from Sainik School, Purulia, the injured youth was taken to New Delhi where he succumbed to the burn injuries on December 13, 2020.

Leadership was manifested by Cadet Amit Raj on December 3, 2020, when he left his residence at village Pasure in Nalanda district, located almost 100 km from the state capital, Patna. It was a routine morning walk.
Barely 100 metres from his home, he heard Rupali, 13, crying for help after things went unmanageable while she was preparing her morning tea. What started with minor leakage of an LPG cylinder resulted into an uncontrolled fire that eventually made Amit its casualty. Even the Indian Army condoled his demise on its official Twitter handle. ....
