Dartmouth Voters Keep Town Clerk s Job an Elected Position

Here are election results from the Town of Dartmouth. The incumbent Town Clerk easily won re-election in unofficial results reported Tuesday night on the Dartmouth Community Media website. Town Clerk Sarah Haskell Arruda piled up more than 1,200 votes and easily defeated challenger Kelsi Power-Spirlet by nearly a four to one margin. Get our free mobile app Voters also shot down an amendment to the Town Charter that would have made the Town Clerk s job an appointed rather than an elected position. Voters decided to keep the post an elected position by a vote of 893-to-551. In other races, Christian Pope won a seat on the Dartmouth Board of Health, defeating Darci Moran. And Kevin Estes won a 5-year seat on the Planning Board, besting Jane Pansire.

Wednesday, December 23, 2020 Twenty-two law enforcement officers from various agencies participated in The Merlin Foundation’s annual Shop With A Cop event on Saturday, Dec. 12, in Berryville. Submitted photo Saturday, Dec.12, was a day full of Christmas cheer for many of Carroll County’s youngest residents. Forty children from Eureka Springs, Berryville and Green Forest arrived at the Berryville Walmart to be greeted by a group of local police officers. Each child was paired with an officer and whisked away to pick out $100 in Christmas gifts. Twenty-two officers from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Berryville Police Department, Eureka Springs Police Department, Green Forest Police Department and the Arkansas State Police participated in the annual Shop With A Cop event hosted by The Merlin Foundation.
