The province of Nova Scotia has opened applications for the sixth round of Sexual Violence Prevention Innovation grants.
There is a total of $50,000 in grants available, with the maximum amount available for any one applicant being $5000.

“It’s about making sure that people understand how to prevent sexual violence; It’s about things like consent,” she said. “And often, young people in marginalized groups don’t have the opportunity to have these conversations or to learn in a way that works best for them.”  ....

That was the shock of our lives that we would have to potentially give up our parental rights to give our child the care that they needed, the teen s mother said. We adamantly, adamantly want to participate in his care.   ....
