Are you searching for a unique way to spend Valentine’s Day with your partner this year? Well, Lowe s may have just the thing.
Believe it or not, the home improvement store is offering 50 couples the chance to experience a Night of Lowemance” this Valentine’s Day.
Reservations for the after-hours experience are open through Sunday, and those selected will get to spend the holiday at one of 10 stores in what the company is describing as America s most romantic cities.
So, what exactly does this “Night Of Lowemance” entail? Well, as part of the experience, chosen couples, who agree to abide by the store’s social distancing and safety protocols, will get to “splash, sling and roll some paint on a giant canvas,” with the company noting, “You pick the colors, you create big art!”
Even the most loving relationship can be tested by a major renovation project.
This Valentine s Day, Lowe s is betting that quarantining couples stuck at home watching HGTV reruns want nothing more than a Night of Lowemance, an unlikely pairing of flowers and a Sherwin Williams paint menu by candlelight.
The retailer is taking reservations through Sunday at Lowes.com/valentines for date nights at one of 10 select stores in some of America s most romantic cities. Fifty couples will win the after-hours in-store experience, but there will also be a virtual event on Feb. 13 open to all who register.
“We’re ready to get a little romantic in an unconventional way, Marisa Thalberg, Lowe s executive vice president, chief brand and marketing officer, told USA TODAY. “Not all of the typical Valentine’s Day night outs will be available to people this year. We thought we can create a really different, fun, surprising and safe Valentine’s Day experience.”
She is a San Antonio native and loves to call the Alamo city her home.

She also worked at KXAN, an NBC affiliate in Austin where she produced their noon newscast and helped field produce stories from the devastating Memorial Day floods that struck Wimberley in 2015.
