Middleton charity Burnside Centre accredited as real living wage employer Date published: 26 May 2021 Kerry Edwards, manager of the Burnside Centre Award-winning charity and community centre The Burnside Centre, based on Langley Estate in Middleton, has recently been accredited as a Living Wage Employer. This means that everyone working at Burnside will receive a minimum hourly wage of £9.50, significantly higher than the government minimum for over 23s, which currently stands at £8.91 per hour.
