Susan P. Evans Susan Partridge (nee Figgins) Evans died May 24, 2021 at Brooksby Village in Peabody, Massachusetts. Sue was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1943 to the late Weston Figgins and the late Rebecca Partridge. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Mr. John Evans, of Peabody, Massachusetts; son Robert Evans and his wife, Jacqueline, of Medfield, Massachusetts; son David Evans and wife, Natalie, of Ashburn, Virginia; three grandchildren, Emily, Erin, and Sam; as well as her sister, Nancy Henderek, and brother-in-law, Michael Henderek, of Houston, Texas. Sue was the granddaughter of the late Robert Partridge and the late Cora Partridge, who summered at Ocean Point for many decades. Ocean Point held a special place in Sue’s heart, and she had many fond memories of her time spent at the Partridge cottage, The Roost. She was an active member of the community, serving on the board and activities committee of the Ocean Point Colony Trust. ....

But she changed her mind after a conversation with her father. Last year, Cummins, an author and Gaithersburg native, wrote the book, which tells the story of a Mexican woman and her son who flee their native country following the murder of several family members. The book follows their journey to the United States. ....
Montgomery County PC giveaway helps bridge digital gap for eligible families By Ayesha Khan Gaithersburg, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Closing the digital divide. That was the goal behind a Montgomery County initiative as 50 families in need, got to take home personal computers donated by the community. PCs for People happens to be a catchy name for a nationally recognized non-profit that stood true to its meaning Saturday morning at Gaithersburg High School. What we are trying to do is bridge the digital divide by digital inclusion, said Warren Gatewood, director of community and government relations with PCs for People Maryland. ....
