The Clinton Presidential Center shut its doors again Monday, after reopening to the public July 1 from 15 months of pandemic-forced closure. The center's restaurant, 42 bar and table, will remain open but will return to requiring reservations, and will now also require proof of vaccination from patrons before they can enter.

A new kindergarten-through-eighth grade school on the site of the vacant McClellan High is the Little Rock School District s top construction priority, Superintendent Mike Poore said Thursday. If this is passed in November, we re turning dirt by Jan. 1, Poore said of a possible tax-extension election and a new $85 million school for 1,400 pupils at 9417 Geyer Springs Road.
Speaking at Southwest High School at the first of five community forums, Poore and Kelsey Bailey, the district s chief finance and operations officer, presented a draft list of $300 million in projects including the McClellan replacement that could be financed with the proceeds of a 12.4-mill tax extension.

Little Rock Fire Department responds to fire at Sims Bar-B-Que on Geyer Springs

A fire broke out at the Sims Bar-B-Que location at 7601 Geyer Springs Road just before 3 p.m. KTHV reports. A Facebook user posted a video of smoke billowing out of the top of the building. The Little Rock Fire Department responded to the scene and was able to put out the fire, but it looks like extensive damage was done.
