Official unsure of origin of paint splatters on roads

The anomalies have left transportation officials and motorists scratching their heads.
According the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 4 spokesman Chris Jessie, the splatters can be seen in parts of northern Hardin County on Ky. 313, or Joe Prather Highway, and Ky. 361, commonly known as Patriot Parkway.
âWhat we actually determined for the stuff on 313, we think those were individuals marking something for a wedding or a party,â he said. âOutside of speculation, we just donât know for sure.â
Jessie said the paint is not official markings of the Transportation Cabinet.
âItâs not roadwork. Itâs nothing the stateâs involved with,â he said. âItâs not any construction project, itâs nothing weâve done intentionally.â ....

Motorists in rural Kentucky have been baffled after a roundabout was installed in Rowan County.
The road feature, which is very common in Europe, is rarely seen in rural America which is a cause of the chaos.
The footage shows pickup trucks - some of them towing large trailers - approaching the roundabout in the wrong lane and driving through the intersection in the wrong direction.
Officials installed the roundabout at the intersection of routes 60 and 801, outside Morehead, to reduce the number of serious accidents at the previous four-way junction.
Motorists in rural Kentucky have been baffled by the installation of a roundabout in Rowan County, which is used by 4,000 people a day ....
