Kenyon is Proud of New Police Station We stopped by the new Police Station and received a tour before our AM Minnesota visit. Sjolander has lived in the community since 1996. He worked for the Goodhue County Sheriff s Department for a decade with a stint as the Kenyon officer when the town contracted with the County to provide law enforcement services. He says he loved working for Goodhue County because he learned so many things in various areas of law enforcement. When the Kenyon City Council decided to go back to a community based police force Sjolander did not hesitate applying for the Chief position. He says, Kenyon is a great town. There s a vibe here. People care about each other. ....

File A lorry that was stolen in Nairobi was on Thursday, January 28, intercepted by KDF troops serving under AMISOM in Dhobley town, Somalia. The lorry, which has since been returned to the owner, had been driven across the border into Somalia. The handover was witnessed by Officer Commanding Dhobley Police Station (OCS) Mohammed Abdi Omar, the Sector II Commander Brigadier Paul Njema, and Colonel Mohammed Abdi of SSF. Kenyon Police: Smart Phone Game Creates Call For Police The Kenyon Police Department posted last night to its social media page that a recent call for service was based on a smartphone game that has people worried when they first witness it. The game, Munzee, is where the participant takes pictures of small codes to earn rewards. The post stated that after the initial call for service in regards to suspicious behavior, a staff member witnessed a person exit a vehicle, walk towards a residence, take a photograph, and then re-enter their vehicle. The officer made contact with this person and asked what they were doing. The person stated they were playing a digital scavenger hunt game called Munzee and here is how it works. The game will give you clues/directions on where to find QR codes and when a code is found, you use the Munzee application to document that and are somehow rewarded.
