A fire ban at a popular camping site on the northern tip of the Sunshine Coast has residents and visitors calling for it to be overturned.
A petition has been launched in a bid to have authorities reconsider extended fire bans at the Cooloola recreation area which were put in place in December last year.
The fire bans cover areas including Teewah Beach, Noosa North Shore and Upper Noosa River.
Fires are permitted at Inskip.
Sue Gendle launched the change.org petition saying a review should be considered with campers allowed to use their own heating devices. ....
