This news is certainly being kept under the cover. The media is certainly not on the Democratic Party’s side, right? I would have never known this occurred if I had not seen a Press Release from State Representative Matt Hall’s Office.
It started when the Allegan County Clerk-Register of Deeds Bob Genetski with the Republican Party sued Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson in her official capacity and Jonathan Brater, Director of Elections in his official capacity.  They sued her because they believed she violated Michigan’s Administrative Procedures Act when she solely decided the voter ballot signature matching guidelines prior to the 2020 election. ....

Millions in private nonprofit money went to 474 local clerks’ offices in Michigan to operate elections in 2020.
It’s raised ethical questions for some observers, often Republicans, who feel the difficult-to-track money, granted by a nonprofit funded with $400 million from Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, taints the Democratic process.
Clerks themselves mostly praised the funds as necessary during a year with record absentee voting and turnout, unique circumstances presented by the worldwide coronavirus pandemic and a lack of state funds to offset new costs. ....

AG Nessel files appeal in sexual discrimination suit | News, Sports, Jobs

MARQUETTE Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, on behalf of the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, has filed appeals with the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court following the December ruling by the Michigan Court of Claims, holding that the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act provides protection for “gender identity” discrimination but not for sexual orientation discrimination.
Nessel also filed a bypass application for leave before the Michigan Supreme Court.
Plaintiffs in the original lawsuit include UpRooted Electrolysis LLC, based in Gwinn, and Rouch World LLC, an amusement park in downstate Sturgis, while the defendants are the Michigan Department of Civil Rights and James White, MDCR director. ....
