The 15th Conference of the ASEAN Ministers Responsible for Information (AMRI) and related meetings opened on March 12 under the theme “ASEAN: A Digital Community with Accessibility for All”.
The 15th Conference of the ASEAN Ministers Responsible for Information (AMRI) and related meetings is hosted by Thailand on March 12.
As host of the 15th AMRI, Thailand – the Chair of the AMRI during 2020-2022 emphasized efforts to promote and upgrade the joint operations by ASEAN member countries in effective communication management, especially in times of crisis, such as the COVID-19 situation.
Chairing the virtual meeting, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Anucha Nakasai proposed that the ten ASEAN member states cooperate in developing information exchange mechanisms and in issue management, so that information to be exchanged between them will be accurate, transparent and up to date, and people in ASEAN will not fall p ....

KUALA LUMPUR: The importance of addressing cyber threats in the digital landscape was among the issues discussed at the first ASEAN Digital Ministers Meeting (ADGMIN1) and related meetings
(pix) which commenced today.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in his keynote address in conjunction with the ADGMIN1 held in a virtual environment said the matter was in line with rapid technological development in developing the digital economy.
Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah is chairing this two-day virtual meeting themed ‘ASEAN - a Digitally Connected Community’.
Saifuddin through his official Twitter, informed that today’s session also discussed the importance of trust in electronic transactions as this is the basis for society’s acceptance to adopt digital transformation. ....

Asean Digital Ministers' meeting begin on Jan 18 with senior officials meeting

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 (Bernama): The inaugural Asean Digital Ministers’ Meeting (ADGMIN1) will start on Monday with the Senior Officials Meeting (ADGSOM1), laying the groundwork for reshaping Asean’s post-Covid-19 digital landscape.
The virtual meeting from Jan 18-22, hosted by the Communications and Multimedia Ministry from the Kuala Lumpur Hilton, is expected to adopt the Asean Digital Masterplan 2025 (ADM2025).
ADGSOM1, to be headed by the ministry’s secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohammad Mentek, will also see virtual meetings with dialogue partners - the United States, China, Japan, South Korea, India and the European Union (EU) - and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). ....
