Islamabad [Pakistan], May 17 (ANI): Pakistan s Interior MinisterSheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Monday confirmed that Leader of the Opposition Shehbaz Sharif has been added to the country s Exit Control List (ECL) after approval from the federal cabinet.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Ahmed said that Shehbaz had not submitted any medical documents for travelling abroad or specify the treatment for his illness, reported Dawn.
He was the guarantor for his brother Nawaz. But instead of bringing him back, he was trying to flee without having any sehri. This is the only country in the world where, in the span of a day, a case was accepted for hearing, a decision was announced [.] and a ticket was booked, he said. ....

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) said on Friday it will not file an appeal with the interior ministry for a review of the decision to include Shehbaz Shairf s name on the Exit Control List (ECL).
Talking to media persons in Lahore, party s spokesperson Marriyum Aurganzeb said that an appeal is made when there is no existing court order [pertaining to a case].
We won t appeal for a review [of the inclusion] with the interior ministry; the government has to review it instead, she said adding, now the LHC and Supreme Court have to take notice [of the situation]. ....

Islamabad [Pakistan], May 14 (ANI): The Pakistani Interior Ministry has been directed to add opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif to the country s Exit Control List (ECL) after the approval from the Federal Cabinet on Thursday.
Sources told Geo News that the ministers gave go ahead through a circulation summary on the request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). A sub-committee of the federal cabinet had recommended including Shahbaz in the ECL.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad to announce the development on Wednesday, Minister for Interior Shaikh Rasheed had said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president may petition for a review of the decision within 15 days. ....
