Unsafe and inadequate Chippenham care home pledges to improve standards The company which runs the Chippenham care home graded as unsafe and inadequate by the Care Quality Commission has pledged to improve. Ashgables House is accused of treating its residents in an undignified way and the management is deemed inadequate, with its caring practices requiring improvement. The inspection at the 25-bed home on Bristol Road was prompted due to concerns received about the management of a coronavirus outbreak. The home is now in special measures. At the time of the inspection the report says that people were put at increased risk from unsafe infection prevention control and were not being appropriately protected against risks.
