Activist author finds wisdom in Guam childhood memories Steve Limtiaco Guam author Julian Aguon said he is humbled by the positive response to his book, “The Properties of Perpetual Light,” published earlier this year by the University of Guam Press. Aguon, a 39-year-old human rights attorney, told the Rotary Club of Tumon Bay he wrote the book as a gentle way to “quiet down the noise” that surrounds social issues. Aguon was the guest speaker at the club’s meeting Tuesday at the Lotte Hotel Guam. He read aloud a couple of entries from his book, including “Go with the Moon,” in which his godfather answers his questions about fishing for mañahak, and “More Right,” about the magic of being at the beach. ....
