Local firefighters were dispatched to a fire at a residence on the 270 block of Route 579 at approximately 4 in the morning. There were no reported injuries as no one was home at the time of the fire, New Jersey State Police confirmed. The fire has been deemed non-suspicious, State Police added. Franklin Township Police responded to the single-vehicle accident on Locust Grove Road at approximately 10:35 p.m. The Hunterdon County Hazardous Materials Response Unit and Quakertown Fire Department arrived at the scene at around 1 in the morning to assist in uprighting the vehicle, according to Andrew Camp, the deputy coordinator of the Hunterdon County Office of Emergency Management and Bradley Patkochis, deputy chief of the Quakertown Fire Company.
