Father of Late Goo Hara Wins Lawsuit Filed against Her Birth Mother

Feb 27, 2021 07:19 AM EST The court has finally made its decision with the lawsuit filed by late Goo Hara s father against her birth mother.  The court took the side of Goo Hara s father and he has partially won the lawsuit against her birth mother. The lawsuit was for the child support that her birth mother failed to provide. The Gwangju Family Court ruled in favor of the father partially, regarding the lawsuit that was filed way back July 2020. It was revealed that Goo Hara s mother had failed to attend the court hearing and just sent her lawyer to go instead. Goo Hara s father was always present in attending the trials.

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 22 After waiting for nearly nine-months, a South Korean family court ruled that K-pop star Goo Hara s inheritance be split 6:4 between her surviving family members. K-pop news portal Soompi reported that the Gwangju Family Court had ordered Goo s brother Ho-in be given 60 per cent while Goo s estranged mother gets 40 percent of the late singer s inheritance.

December 22, 2020 13:14 The estate of K-pop star Gu Ha-ra, who killed herself in November last year, has divided her surviving family and led to an unusual settlement. The Gwangju Family Court on Dec. 17 decided that the estate will be split 6:4 in favor of her father and brother Gu Ho-in and against her estranged mother. The original split was going to be 50:50, but Gu Ho-in filed a lawsuit against the mother, who abandoned the family decades ago, asking the court to take into account his and his father s contribution and support for the late star in dividing her wealth. Gu Ha-ra Under Korean law, if an unmarried person without children dies intestate, their estate is divided 50:50 between the mother and father if both survive.

The Gwangju Family Court made a decision in regards to the estate of the late  Goo Hara and released their judgment on December 21.  Previously, it was reported that Goo Hara s brother, Goo Ho In requested a trial upon receiving reports that their mother is claiming 50 percent of Goo Hara s inheritance as the late singer s biological parent despite abandoning them and giving up parental rights and custody.
