- Advertisement - The Switzerland County Pacers celebrated Winter Homecoming on Friday night with a home game against Shawe Memorial and although the attendance was limited, the Pacer offense certainly wasn’t. Placing three players in double figures and seven different Switzerland County team members scoring in the game, the Pacers jumped out to an early lead and then never looked back in earning a big, 55-21 victory over the Hilltoppers. The first quarter saw Switzerland County get off to an 11-3 advantage, thanks to the early hot shooting of Ben Hicks and Jacob Williams, each of whom had two field goals for four points. ....
- Advertisement - It may be a little unconventional, but Switzerland County High School will hold its Winter Homecoming tomorrow (Friday) night. The festivities will be included in the boys junior varsity and varsity home basketball games with Shawe Memorial. Traditionally one the biggest crowds of the year, this year’s Homecoming will be held in compliance with guidelines surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Switzerland County High School Principal David Todd said that each player, cheerleader, and Homecoming candidate will be allowed to bring four family members to Homecoming. Those family members will be required to sign in at the desk in the lobby of the high school. No other fans will be allowed into the gym. ....
