Noida: To help make Sector 137 a “zero-waste sector”, Paramount Floraville, one of the eight housing societies in the locality, will have a waste processing plant installed within a week, residents have said.
Following the installation of this wet waste processing machine, the society will not be sending any waste out of its premises. The Rs 45 lakh machine will cost Rs 120 per family per month for the next four years, after which there will be no added cost. Two more societies in the sector may soon follow through.
“We have just signed an agreement with Yes Full Circle for the waste processing machine. They will help us install the machine and provide other solutions for making our society completely zero waste. It is the first-of-its-kind initiative in Noida,” said Abhisht Kusum Gupta, a resident of Paramount Floraville.
