Awantipora: Police on Wednesday claimed to have busted a six-member module of the JeM militant outfit involved in grenade lobbing on government forces and pasting “threatening” posters in south Kashmir.
The accused have been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Bhat son of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat resident of Larow Tral, Mohammad Amin Khan son of Ghulam Hassan Khan resident of Handoora Tral, Umer Jabar Dar son of Mohammad Jabar Dar resident of Wagad Tral, Suhail Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Bhat resident of Dogripora Awantipora, Sameer Ahmad Lone son of Ghulam Mohammad Lone resident of Darganiegund Tral and Rafiq Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Ahad Khan resident of Handoora Tral.
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday claimed to have busted a militant module in Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police spokesman in a statement said that Awantipora Police along with 42RR and 180 BN CRPF busted a militant associate network of proscribed outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad involved in grenade lobbing incidents in Tral area of Awantipora and Sangam area of Anantnag district.
The spokesman said that they have been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Bhat son of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat resident of Larow Tral, Umer Jabar Dar son of Mohammad Jabar Dar resident of Wagad Tral, Suhail Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Bhat resident of Dogripora Awantipora, Sameer Ahmad Lone son of Ghulam Mohammad Lone resident of Darganiegund Tral , Mohammad Amin Khan son of Ghulam Hassan Khan and Rafiq Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Ahad Khan both residents of Handoora Tral.

Srinagar, Dec 15: People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) and an independent candidate, contesting DDC election from Bandipora-A panchayat block Thursday alleged booth capturing and bogus voting by Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party workers during the 6th phase of DDC election in Garoora village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
The candidates alleged that Khursheed Ahmad Ganai, brother of former legislator and vice-president JKAP, Usman Majeed had captured a polling station and polled bogus votes in Garoora village that is the native village of Usman Majeed.
