KUWAIT CITY, March 2: The Court of Appeals commuted the death sentence imposed on a citizen, who stabbed his friend to death with a knife in Mubarak Al-Kabeer while he was under the influence of psychotropic substances, to 13 years in prison, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Sources from the Ministry of Interior revealed that officers assigned in the Research and Investigation Department in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, in coordination with the Criminal Evidence Department, succeeded in closing the case on the killing of a citizen, in his 50s, inside his house in Mubarak AlKabeer.
The officers said the killer – friend of the victim – has had a history of drug abuse. During interrogation, the defendant admitted his crime and guided police to the location of the knife he used to kill the victim. This came after a woman, in her 20s, reported that her father’s body was found inside the room in the family’s house. The body was referred to Forensics which declared that th
