It is not only crime against women, but also crime at all level is on the rise in Delhi. In a second case of shooting in the national capital since Wednesday, a shopkeeper in East Delhi has been shot dead by two unidentified bike-borne assailants, police said.

New Delhi [India], March 16 (ANI): A 45-year man was shot dead by unidentified persons in Adarsh Nagar area in the national capital on Tuesday, the police has informed.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Anil Aggarwal, a Chartered Accountant by profession. At around 10 AM, today, a PCR call was received in Police Station Adarsh Nagar regarding an incident of firing in which one person got injured. The injured was shifted to the Fortis Hospital in Shalimar Bagh where he was declared brought dead, the police said in a statement.

New Delhi: In a bid to control street crime in the national capital, the Delhi police conducted a five-hour-long cordon and search operation in Karol Bagh.
Around 100 personnel, including those of paramilitary forces, were involved in the operation. Around 55 people were detained in the operation which was conducted on Sunday from 7 pm till midnight, as per the officials.
According to the news agency
PTI, Jasmeet Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) said that the main motive behind this exercise was to create a barrier and search suspects in the area who were previously involved in crimes, particularly street crimes.
