Am 16. 09. um 22:25 Uhr auf Tele 5: Carol Hunnicut wird per Zufall Zeuge des Mordes an einem Anwalt, der Gelder eines Gangsterbosses veruntreut hat. Voller Panik flüchtet Carol in ein einsames, abgelegenes Haus in den kanadischen Rocky Mountains. Niemand weiß von ihrer Existenz, bis Robert Caulfield, ein couragierter stellvertretender Staatsanwalt, in der Hotelsuite, in der der Mord geschah, ihre Fingerabdrücke identifizieren kann. In seinem Schlepptau tauchen aber auch schwerbewaffnete Killer bei Carol auf. Nur mühsam kann Caulfield die Kronzeugin des Mordes in einen Zug nach Vancouver einschleusen, um sie von dort zur Hauptverhandlung nach Los Angeles zu bringen. Doch auch in diesem Zug ist Carol Hunnicut der ständigen Bedrohung durch die Gangster ausgesetzt, die nur darauf warten, die lästige Mitwisserin aus dem Weg zu räumen .
