Marjorie Taylor Greene from her House committee assignments. The Cass County GOP voted to adopt a resolution saying the vote to remove Greene, a Georgia Republican, from her committees was an attack on the freshman lawmaker for being unafraid to speak out, adding that her comments, which include indicating support for political violence and pushing wild conspiracy theories, have not been out of line with anyone else s, The Detroit News reports. ....

Fred Upton for a second time this month, after Upton voted with Democrats to strip a controversial GOP representative s committee assignments. The Cass County GOP voted Tuesday, Feb. 23, to censure Upton, R-St. Joseph, for his decision to vote with Democrats to strip Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Georgia, on her committee assignments. Greene lost her assignments on the House Education and Labor Committee and the House Budget Committee earlier in February following a House vote. Upton and 10 other Republicans sided with Democrats over Greene s musings about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi being assassinated, the possibility of Jewish-controlled space rays causing wildfires and the taunting of school-shooting survivors. ....
