HUNDREDS of stones painted by residents have been preserved in cement in Sutton-in-Craven Park for generations to enjoy. The stones are to show support for the NHS and key workers during the coronavirus pandemic and remind people of the way we rally around in difficult times and keep spirits high. Denise Emmott, clerk of Sutton-in-Craven Parish Council said: “At a time when we had to be apart, stone by stone we brought our community together.” We would like to thank Readymix Huddersfield (Myers Group Ltd) who kindly donated the concrete. Thanks to: Stuart Robinson, Tony Emmott, Anthony Emmott, Arron Morley, Ben Bolland, Tanya Emmott, Hayley Lynch, Christine Robinson and Mark Hough for their help to varnish the stones, prep the area, distribute the cement and set the stones in place.” ....
