Barrow swimmer wins silver medal at national event

A SWIMMING club has seen it s members achieve national success. Taking part in Swim England s 2020 Level X rankings, swimmers from Barrow Amateur Swimming Club made their club proud. The pick of the results came from Lilly Broadfoot, who achieved an overall 2nd in the 100m breaststroke. Fellow swimmer Porter Tinning came sixth in the 50m Butterfly and seventh in the 100m Backstroke in the national rankings. There were further good swims from Harvey Caine, Jacob Terre, Tom Bell, Blake Cooksey, who all gained a North West top ten ranking.  The pandemic has been hard for Barrow ASCs young swimmers, who have faced many months out of the water.
