Unique Auto Grooming in Rapid City had its official ribbon cutting after being bought by Black Hills Works last summer. The idea to purchase the business came from a former Black Hills Works Board Member, Mark McKie, to offer more job opportunities for those in the program. The job is proving to be much more than a regular paycheck. “That dignity of work, the dignity of having a job and doing something that they know our community needs and being able to step back and appreciate and feel good about a job well done,” said Brad Saathoff, C.E.O. of Black Hills Works. “There’s so much value in it, there’s value in a paycheck absolutely but there’s even more value in the dignity of work.” ....
