Jake Gordon and Angus Bell recommit to NSW Waratahs and Rugby Australia
Rugby Australia and NSW Waratahs have today confirmed the re-signing of Wallabies stars Jake Gordon and Angus Bell.
Scrumhalf Jake Gordon, who has penned a two-year extension, made his Wallabies debut in 2018 in Padova against Italy and has since gone on to play five Tests in the gold jersey as well as amassing 57 caps for the NSW Waratahs.
Named captain at the start of the 2021 Harvey Norman Super Rugby season, the former Shute Shield player is a product of the representative pathway having played for the Sydney Stars and NSW Country Eagles in the NRC. Gordon made his Waratahs debut against the Lions in Johannesburg in 2017. ....

A Dundee University spinout company has signed an agreement that could be worth up to $200 million.
In4Derm is an innovative drug discovery company developing the next generation of topical and oral therapies for widespread inflammatory conditions such as eczema and rheumatoid arthritis.
The Dundee firm has agreed an option license agreement with an unnamed company that will bring financial and development support, and will work on the development of In4Derm’s pipeline assets. ....

The programming language Cobol has been around for 61 years in some form or another. For many organizations, that age shows, and people who can keep mainframe-based Cobol applications upright are becoming harder and harder to find, especially as most computer science programs aren’t teaching it any more.
The importance, and brittleness, of these systems was on show back in April 2020, when, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, various state authorities from New Jersey to Kansas started to put out desperate pleas for Cobol programmers to volunteer or come out of retirement to keep their creaking unemployment systems running in the face of unprecedented demand. ....

The Play That Goes Wrong, the Olivier Award-winning box office hit, today announces full casting for its 2021 UK Tour. The touring cast presents: Tom Babbage (Max), Tom Bulpett (Chris), Seán Carey (Jonathan), Leonard Cook (Robert), Edward Howells (Dennis), April Hughes (Sandra), Laura Kirman (Annie), Gabriel Paul (Trevor), with understudies: Katie Hitchcock, Damien James, Edi De Melo and Aisha Numah.
Following three previously sold-out tours, the production will open on Tuesday 13 July 2021 at Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury where it first premiered in 2014, before visiting Cheltenham, Bath, Salford, Nottingham, Eastbourne, Dartford, York, Woking, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Brighton and Aylesbury.
