Allah says in the holy Qu’ran in Surah Hijr verse 9: “Indeed we have revealed the dhikr of the Qur’an and We shall protect it.” This verse was narrated by the Al Imdaad Foundation’s Qari Ziyaad Patel who is in Kenya on a humanitarian mission in that country. Qari Patel was visiting a madrassah in the city of Lamu near Kenya sharing his experiences about how the holy Qur’an is being preserved in the most remote of areas in Africa. A video posted on Facebook by Qari Patel shows young Muslim learners preserving the legacy of the Qur’an through writing, reading and learning the Qur’an from pieces of plank or wood. ....
