Racing Integrity Unit general manager Mike Godber told The Star on Wednesday Alford is facing two counts of administering a prohibited substance on race day and attempting to administer a prohibited substance on race day. Gordon Elliott trained Tiger Roll was switched to Denise Foster following an imposed BHA six months ban. Tiger Roll was pulled out of this year’s National in April by connections, due to the weight of 11st 7lbs allocated by the handicapper. A Gigginstown House Stud spokesperson said they have no regrets withdrawing Tiger Roll at the latest forfeit stages. Tiger Roll could head for the Irish National at Fairyhouse following his unexpected Festival success, after a poor run at Cheltenham in November. ....

The Leader Newspaper By Andrew Atkinson Altior has been withdrawn from the Queen Mother Champion Chase on day two at the Cheltenham Festival on Wednesday after trainer Nicky Henderson revealed the chaser had returned an unsatisfactory scope. âWe are very sorry that we have taken the difficult decision not to run Altior in the Champion Chase. He coughed after exercise which caused us to scope him and as a result of what we have seen it would not be sensible to run him. âThis is devastating for all of us, and Altiorâs owners Pat and Christopher Pugh in particular, in that this is the second year running we have had to pull him out at the last minute,” said Henderson. ....

Kissair, trained by Martin Pipe, won the Triumph Hurdle in 1999, when beating Silver Wedge. He last raced in 2000 at Garthorpe, aged 9, when under trainer Nicky Henderson. ....
