GAIBANDHA, JAN 20, 2021 (BSS) – One community clinic and nine Union Health and Family Welfare Centres (UH&FWCs) under Palashbari upazila in the district yesterday got examination beds for the patients, chairs for waiting rooms, ceiling fans, plastic chair tables, chairs with foam from the Local Government Support project (LGSP) being implemented by the respective union parishads of the upazila.
A simple function was also held at the conference room of Palashbari upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) with UNO Kamruzzaman Nayan in the chair.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abdul Matin attended the function and addressed it as the chief guest and upazila chairman AKM Moksed Chowdhury Bidyuit and deputy director of the department of Family Planning Saiful Islam were present at the event as the special guests. ....

A good number of poor patients’ especially pregnant mothers from various
places are coming to the MCWC for health services.
Jamalpur MCWC sources said during the last five months, 341 pregnant
mothers got delivery service free of cost in the hospital.
During the period, 247 pregnant mothers underwent normal delivery by the
skilled attendants of the hospital as 94 pregnant women in critical condition
underwent caesarian operation for giving birth to babies, they said.
While visiting Jamalpur MCWC, the BSS correspondent found ten poor mothers, ....
