Many feature core curriculums that require students to sample the arts, humanities, sciences, and languages. Others have open curriculums, challenging students to choose their own paths. Some encourage experiential learning like studies abroad, internships, research, and community service programs that teach students off-campus independence and on-the-job skills. They may promote community involvement, designing ways for students to contribute in communities or learn cultural diversity and understanding. Some keep religion close at hand, requiring students to attend services or study the Bible.

2021-2022 SGA election results announced, plans for the future Hannah Steyn, Assistant News Editor The 2021-2022 Student Government Association election results were released last week. Amongst many other positions, the elected president and chief justice were announced to be Sophomore Katherine Hawley and Sophomore Randall Chiera respectively.  Bethany VanBenschoten, the SGA advisor, said that despite the election taking place in the midst of a COVID-affected semester, there was a surprisingly large response rate with the intent of candidacy forms. The election also went much the same as it would have in a normal semester.  “We usually do online elections anyway, and this semester we were also given permission to have in-person elections, too,” VanBenschoten said. “That just means we set up a laptop with the voting form, but it catches more peoples’ attention when it’s in person.”

Hon Gbajabiamila gave the assurance while receiving the report of the Sectoral Roundtable Session (SRS) on Nigeria’s healthcare delivery system titled: ‘The Green Book’ organised by the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, pledged the House plans to give more attention to prioritise health-related issues. He said the ninth House has acted like no other House in the history of the Nigerian Parliament by taking some revolutionary steps in the health sector.
