File photo of Jamanagar extortionist Jayesh Patel RAJKOT: A special GujCTOC (Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime) court in Rajkot has issued notices to gangster Jaysukh Ranparia also known as Jayesh Patel and his two aides following an application by Jamnagar police to declare them as absconders. In the notice issued last week, special judge U T Desai directed Ranparia, his aides Sunil Changani and Ramesh Abhangi, to appear in court before August 12. The notice was issued based on the application moved by the Jamnagar police on the grounds that the accused were fugitives and warrant sent to their residence have returned.

Gangster Lalu Jhalim alias Amit Rajput Surat: Gangster Lalu Jhalim alias Amit Rajput wanted in a case registered under the Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime Act (GujCTOC) was arrested along with his associate Nikunj Chauhan on Monday. Both were remanded to police custody for 15 days by a local court on Tuesday. Rajput was nabbed from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh by a team of Detection of Crime Branch (DCB). He had been evading arrest since December 2020. Native of Mahendru village in Jaunpur of UP, Rajput had escaped a few days before the offence under GujCTOC was registered against him. “It was a challenging task to nab Rajput whose family is politically well connected,” said police.

Goods worth Rs 14 lakh stolen by Tadpatri gang seized from a farm | Rajkot News

Rajkot: Suspecting that the notorious Gediya gang or Tadpatri gang may have become active again, Surendranagar police on Tuesday night carried out a combing operation in six villages of Patdi and seized allegedly stolen goods worth Rs 14 lakh. Police informed that during the combing operations in Sokhda village they recovered goods and cosmetic items including 32 LED TV sets, 13 table fans, eight ceiling fans, HD printer and scanner, four batteries, Shampoo bottles and other cosmetic items from a room on a farm owned by one Bhanji Khan Malek. A few days ago a police complaint was lodged against unidentified persons for stealing LED TV sets from a moving truck on the highway prompting the police to launch a combing operation on Tuesday night to nab the suspects.
