Born March 6, 1957, in Plattsburgh, she was the daughter of Armand and Maureen Moquin (Shapter). She graduated from Beekmantown Central High School anxious to start her journey through life. Her passion for “everything” skiing held no boundaries and she could be seen chasing ski lifts with her sister well into May. She was a true nature girl who loved to camp, kayak, fish and hike while expertly identifying plants and birds along the way.
