As per latest reports, select military hospitals will make 10 to 15 per cent of their designated Covid-19 beds available to the civilian population in cases of specific referrals from the local administration for treating COVID patients. The select facilities will be among the 50 Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) hospitals that have been allowed to treat civilians, subject to availability of beds and other conditions.
Indian Army today announced to open all its Military Hospitals for the civilians for Covid treatment. The medical staff of the Army is being made available to various State Governments and the Indian Army is setting up temporary Hospitals in various parts of the country.

Grants emergency financial powers to the Armed Forces
The Ministry of Defence (MoD), on Friday, has invoked special provisions and granted Emergency Financial Powers to Armed Forces to fight the Covid-19 surge. This will empower them and speed up their efforts to tide over the current situation in the country, it said in a statement.
Under these powers, the Vice Chiefs of Armed Forces, including Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC), and General Officer Commanding-in-Chiefs (GOC-in-Cs) and equivalents of all three services, have been given full powers, whereas Corps Commanders/Area Commanders have been delegated powers up to ₹50 lakh per case, and Division Commanders/Sub Area Commanders and equivalents have been delegated powers up to ₹20 lakh per case.

To meet the urgent requirement of oxygen in various parts of the country, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is arranging big size oxygen cylinders for fulfilling requirements of different hospitals.
Cantonment board hospitals in Pune, Kirkee, Deolali now dedicated COVID facilities
A dedicated COVID health centre at Dehuroad is ready and would become functional soon, while an ICU (intensive care unit) facility with six beds is being set up at the general hospital in Kirkee.

NEW DELHI: The hospitals run by the cantonment boards in Maharashtra s Pune, Kirkee and Deolali with a total of 304 beds have been dedicated for the treatment of COVID-19 patients, the Defence Ministry said on Friday. The cantonment boards hospitals at Pune, Kirkee and Deolali with 304 beds have been designated as dedicated COVID hospitals, the ministry s statement said.
