Share This - x The Karnataka High Court on Saturday said as of today it was not necessary to transfer investigations in the alleged sex CD case involving former State minister Ramesh Jarkiholi from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). A division bench of Chief Justice Abhay Oka and Justice Suraj Govindaraj in their order said We have perused the report submitted by Soumendu Mukherjee IPS, head of Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is investigating into three crimes, three separate reports are submitted, pointing out steps taken in investigation. After having perused the said three reports we find that as of today it is not necessary to consider the prayer for transfer of investigation. ....
Soumendu Mukherjee, who heads SIT, submits report to court In a temporary relief to the State government, the High Court of Karnataka on Saturday said that as of today there was no need to consider a plea for transfer of the investigation into the alleged CD scandal involving the former Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi to any other agency. A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka and Justice Suraj Govindaraj made these observation in its order after going through the report submitted in a sealed cover to the court by IPS officer Soumendu Mukherjee, who is heading the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up by the government to probe into the scandal. ....

The organisation has filed a writ petition in the High Court requesting a direction to the state government and other authorities to recover the losses incurred during the recent strikes by Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) employees. An RTI response availed by advocate Geetha Misra, revealed that the BMTC has incurred a revenue loss of Rs 7,93,25,640 during the strike between December 11 and 14, 2020. The advocate had also written to the authorities on January 15, 2021, seeking action against KSRTC and BMTC employees responsible ....
