Two road construction projects in Audubon County are scheduled to wrap up today (Friday). According to the Audubon County Road Department, crews will be patching a mile-long stretch of 215
th Street between Kingbird Avenue and U.S. Highway 71. Motorists attempting to travel along this route should expect delays. The other concrete patching project on 7
th Avenue on the east side of Audubon should also finish this (Friday) afternoon. Officials recommend vehicles avoid this area until work is completed. Representatives from the Luxembourg Heritage Society of Northwest Iowa will share their plans for Lux Fest June 5 during a program planned at the Plymouth County Historical Museum in Le Mars at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 25.
Judy Stokesberry of Remsen will headline the program with a PowerPoint, Where in the World is Luxembourg? The presentation will share facts about the economy, culture, and attractions in the country of Luxembourg. A sample of the Luxembourg language, national anthem, and some of the festivals will be included.
Stokesberry, a former teacher, also will share stories of what it was like growing up as a Luxembourger in Northwest Iowa.
