Representatives from the Luxembourg Heritage Society of Northwest Iowa will share their plans for Lux Fest June 5 during a program planned at the Plymouth County Historical Museum in Le Mars at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 25.
Judy Stokesberry of Remsen will headline the program with a PowerPoint, Where in the World is Luxembourg? The presentation will share facts about the economy, culture, and attractions in the country of Luxembourg. A sample of the Luxembourg language, national anthem, and some of the festivals will be included.
Stokesberry, a former teacher, also will share stories of what it was like growing up as a Luxembourger in Northwest Iowa.

After hours of planning and lots of hard work, Jayden Spenner of Remsen completed his Eagle Scout project, a flag retirement box located by the VFW Hall in Remsen. Spenner is the eighteen-year-old son of Jeff and Lori Spenner of Remsen. He has three siblings, Olivia (13), Rylie (12), and Faith (10). His hobbies include hunting, archery, camping, boating, and scuba diving. He recently graduated from MMCRU High School on May 17, 2020. He currently works for CMG Construction and plans to attend WITCC for an associate s degree in police science.
Remsen Postmaster Helen Kuehl was given many congratulations and well wishes during her Retirement Party, which was held outside behind the Remsen Post Office from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, June 25.
