Chester County Government: $4 2 Million Approved In Open Space Preservation And Park Improvement Grant Awards

Reply May 24, 2021 Chester County Commissioners Marian Moskowitz, Josh Maxwell and Michelle Kichline approved the awarding of $4.2 million in open space preservation and park improvement grants at the most recent public Commissioners meeting. The grants are made available through Chester County s Preservation Partnership Program, which offers funding to municipalities and non-profit land preservation organizations.  Subscribe This commitment of County funds will help leverage an additional $10 million of non-County funds. (Chester County District Attorney s Office ) WEST CHESTER, PA A man who provided management services to homeowners associations in three states has admitted he embezzled $1.8 million from his clients by making unauthorized transfers of money. William C. Huyler III, 41, of East Marlborough Township, pleaded guilty to 53 felonies connected to approximately $1.8 million he misappropriated from eight homeowners associations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, according to the Chester County District Attorney s Office. The affected homeowners associations were in East Goshen, Uwchlan, Upper Merion, and West Norriton townships in Pennsylvania, and in Marlton, NJ and Kent County, Del.

Chester County Magisterial District Judge Dan Maisano dies at 68

KENNETT SQUARE — Dan Maisano, a Chester County Magisterial District Judge for 22 years, and a senior Magisterial District Judge, has died. He was 68. He oversaw the court from his Kennett Square building and presided over more than 5,000 cases per year. He handled preliminary hearings on all criminal matters, civil cases up to $12,000, all landlord tenant matters and all traffic and non-traffic matters. Chester County Common Pleas Court Judge Bret Binder said he found Maisano to be encouraging, helpful and knowledgeable. - Advertisement - “He had a passion for the law, and a passion for helping people,” Binder said. “He was a great resource for the community and he always had a smile on his face. He was working up until a few weeks ago.”
